Hillside Food Pantry began as an outreach ministry committed to showing the love of God in a meaningful way by distributing “rescued food” to people in need.  It also provides an opportunity for people from all walks of life to come together for a common purpose and help make our community a better place.

Lawrence Hall Youth Services

Each year Lawrence Hall Youth Services serves approximately 1,000 youth and families who have suffered severe trauma in their lives. The agency’s unique continuum of care, which promotes overall well-being led by an expert staff, has positioned Lawrence Hall to meet the changing and complex needs of youth and families by not only becoming more community-based but by developing more preventative programs that help curb violence in our communities.

 

Connections for Abused Women and their Children

Connections for Abused Women and their Children is committed to ending domestic violence. Using a self-help, empowerment approach, women and children affected by domestic violence are provided shelter, counseling, advocacy, and a 24-hour hotline. CAWC continues to be a recognized leader in the domestic violence field; active in coalitions and advocacy groups in the city and the state. It is known throughout Chicago for its emphasis on bicultural, bilingual services.
